Great Report Card from School
From the parent of Braydon Pierce, 11 years old
Orange Belt, 2nd Grade, November 2007
I would like to express my pleasure and gratitude to the USA Masters Academy for
the positive changes in my son Braydon. Before joining the Academy, school was a
struggle for him. It was a challenge for him to get a C on his tests and report cards.
Homework was a challenge for both of us prior to joining. I received Braydon's 5
week report over the weekend and I was so proud. His report was better than his
sister's. That has never happened before. Also, homework has been less a
challenge. He stays focused on the task at hand and is doing it more independently.
I truly believe that this positive turn around is a direct result of the teachings at the
Academy, and my only regret is not starting him sooner. Thank you all!

Self-Discipline and Valuable Life Skills
From the parents of Rebecca Novak, 11 years old
1st Degree Junior Black Belt, March 2007
One of the major benefits for our daughter is the development of the skill, to set and
attain long term goals. We live in an instant gratification world where the
immediacy of cause and effect surrounds our children every day. USA Masters
Academy teaches self-paced development of ever-increasing goals. We learn
today’s training will not immediately turn into tomorrow’s expertise, but will benefit
you possibly years in the future. The self-discipline and dedication to the long term
perfection of the art, is a valuable skill that has spilled over into other areas of our
daughter’s life.

Respect And Discipline
From the parents of Sam Christiansen, 7 years old
Orange Belt II, Tiny Tiger Class August 2001
"As a parent, I spoke with the counselors about how they differentiate between
what is learned at the Academy and "Power rangers." I was concerned that a
young child might not know the difference. My fears were quickly put to rest. The
amount of respect for the Martial Arts that is taught in your Academy is as
important as the technique and form. I also greatly appreciate the focus on
discipline in the classes. I think Sam’s experiences at the Academy helped him be
more prepared for school and the focus and the discipline that it requires. Most
importantly, however, your counselors know how to help children focus and be
disciplined without being "disciplinarians." Once again, as a Mom, that was
important to me. Finally, we always feel welcome when we come to the Academy.
You have instilled your staff and counselors with an understanding that both
children and parents need to feel comfortable with all of the procedures and
processes that make up a Martial Arts program. Sam has truly flourished at the
Academy! Thank you for all that the Academy has done for him, and for all you do
for so many around our community."

Character Education For Our Community
Special Martial Art Character Program Possibilities Center, Canandaigua City
School District October 2001
"We are trying to help students recommit to school and community, improve their
grades, develop positive relationships with peers and adults, and become better
citizens. We are grateful to Kuek’s Martial Arts Academy for helping us with this
vision. To develop moral character and increase positive behaviors in at-risk teens
is a challenge; yet, your programmed has enhanced our mission. The tenets of
Kwok Wu Chuen Martial Arts are strongly in line with out character education
philosophy, and the respectful manner, kindness, and patience with which your
instructors teach our students is to be praised. Our staff realizes the importance of
physical fitness to psychological well-being, and we believe your program makes a
difference. Thanks for your compassion and professionalism."

Healthy Lifestyle
Patrick Coughlin, Tai Ji Green Belt Level 4A March 2002
I want to thank you for your Tai Ji program. As you know, I have been a student for
two years now and I am very pleased with the benefits of training. I find it amazing
to see the difference Tai Ji has made in my life. I definitely feel more relaxed in
every situation. I find that I fall asleep faster and have a more restful night’s sleep. I
am more limber, have a better sense of balance, and have toned and strengthened
my legs. Thank you for your guidance, your patience and your willingness to share
your expertise. I sincerely appreciate the benefits I have seen from the Tai Ji
program.
